Al Shamal Municipality carried out 898 regular inspection tours in March, which resulted in the issuance of a number of violations according to Law No. 8 of 1990 on the regulation of human food control, in addition to building and public hygiene violations. Accordingly, the health control section carried out 481 inspection tours targeting various food outlets within the municipality, which resulted in the issuance of one violation report.
Besides, veterinarians at the section supervised the slaughter of 664 heads of livestock at the Al Shamal slaughterhouse. Two slaughtered carcasses were completely destroyed for not being for human consumption, in addition to the destruction of 66kg of meat for the same reason. Further, the general control section carried out 232 inspection campaigns in March, where 66 notice stickers were placed on abandoned vehicles to remove them, while 39 vehicles were removed by the section accordingly.
In addition, 36 violation reports were issued regarding various related issues with some of those resolved through reconciliation. The section also received one complaint, which was resolved quickly. Meanwhile, the technical control carried out 185 regular inspection tours at buildings and State property, and a building violation report was issued. The gardens section at the municipality carried out various necessary maintenance works in various areas, including all parks and roads. Besides, the cleaning section carried out broad sanitisation campaigns that included the cleaning of 915 garbage containers. It also carried out 152 campaigns to fight rodents and inspects.
