Ramadan screening of 'The Eventologist'

In the spirit of it being a locally crowdfunded and Filipino community film, 'The Eventologist' is now is now set for its public theatrical screening from April 13 under the distribution of Qatar Cinema. Present at a signing ceremony held in this regard at the Qatar Cinema offices were the film’s writer and director, Oscar Yema; the movie’s leading lady, actress and singer Vanessa Cassador; and Qatar Cinema general manager Abdul Rahman Nadji, a press statement noted.
"I'm happy to partner with Advocacy Global Studios (AGS) and 'The Eventologist', and hope to distribute and show Filipino films in Qatar. I wish this endeavour to be a good start of a fruitful partnership," said Nadji. After its recent successful world premiere, 'The Eventologist' starring Filipino multi-awarded actor J C Santos and a 100% all-overseas Filipino workers (OFW) cast & crew - and filmed entirely in Qatar - will be shown in screens during the second half of Ramadan at The Cinema Palace, Royal Plaza in Al Sadd, and at The Mall Cineplex along D-Ring Road, the statement adds.
The movie embodies the Filipino overseas culture of camaraderie, entrepreneurship, fellowship and resilience as well as the effects of "crab mentality" and fake news on social media. The Eventologist is produced by Advocacy Global Studios in partnership with Red Dot Films and DT Productions in Qatar.
