Qatar has expressed its strong condemnation of the Israeli aggression against the Gaza Strip and southern Lebanon, and called on all parties to de-escalate, calm down and exercise maximum restraint.
In a statement Friday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs held Israel solely responsible for the widening cycle of violence due to its provocative measures in the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, which Qatar warned against.
It also stressed the need for the international community to act urgently to compel Israel to stop its flagrant violations of international law and force it to respect the resolutions of international legitimacy.
The ministry reiterated Qatar's firm position on the just Palestinian cause and the legitimate rights of the brotherly Palestinian people, and the establishment of their independent state on the 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
Meanwhile, the Palestinian National Council (PNC) condemned the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip, warning that the occupation government would commit massacres against the Palestinian people.
In a press statement, Speaker of the PNC Rouhi Fattouh held the occupation government responsible for igniting and detonating the situation in the region, as a result of its continuous aggression against Al-Aqsa Mosque and the abuse of worshippers.
He said that the silence of the international community on Israel's crimes against Palestinian people encourages it to continue its aggression, ignoring all the values of international law.
Fattouh called on the international community to put pressure on the occupation government to stop its aggression against the Gaza Strip, its daily attacks on Al-Aqsa Mosque and the abuse of worshippers.
The Israeli occupation warplanes raided Friday several sites and targets in the Gaza Strip, as part of its continuous aggression on the Strip since Thursday.
The occupation planes bombed two resistance sites east of Gaza City, while it raided another target east of Al-Tuffah neighbourhood, east of the city.

The occupation forces arrested 15 Palestinians, including three children.
A Palestinian child was injured in an Israeli bombardment that targeted the southern Gaza Strip.
