The Pakistani Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif categorically denied any possibility of his country establishing relations with the Israeli entity, stressing that such a hypothesis may be realized in the event that the Palestinians obtain their right to self-determination and declare their independent state.
In Tuesday’s remarks, Sharif described the allegations circulating on social media about the start of trade relations between Pakistan and the Israeli entity as misleading and false, explaining that it is unfounded news.
He also indicated that political motives are behind these allegations, without specifying their source, or who is behind them, reaffirming that Islamabad is not going to have relations with the Israeli occupation as long as it continues to oppress the Palestinian people.
Numerous media reports said the trade relations between Pakistan and the Israeli entity kicked off as a first step towards normalisation.
