Zakat Fund Department at the Ministry of Endowments (Awqaf) and Islamic Affairs provided QR33,406,870 in aid to 660 families eligible for assistance in Qatar in March 2023. The aid, both periodic and lump-sum, was disbursed to the eligible registered families:
QR8,105,760 was provided on a monthly basis, and QR25,301,110 one-time lump-sum aid. The Zakat Affairs Department, which is the country's official agency competent to collect Zakat money and disburse them to the beneficiaries in Qatar, has the largest database of beneficiaries from families. Individuals and companies can pay their due Zakat through the department's website or through the collection offices and points across the country.
