A group of young men have been arrested in response to a viral social media video showing a group of youngsters assaulting an Asian individual in the desert.
The Ministry of Interior stated this adding that the competent authorities had taken action against the assailants, who were referred to the Public Prosecution for further action, the ministry tweeted. “Referring to what was circulated on social media regarding a group of young men assaulting an Asian person in a desert area, the competent authorities in the Ministry of Interior have taken action." The Ministry warned that it will not hesitate to take the necessary measures against such behaviour, that are against the law and societal values.
