Association of National Olympic Committees (ANOC) Senior Vice-President and Qatar Olympic Committee President HE Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad al-Thani attended the ANOC 87th Executive Council Meeting in Madrid, Spain, on Friday.
The ANOC Executive Council discussed and agreed a number of key items and emphasised the importance of unity among the NOC family during challenging times. The meeting was attended by all Executive Council members with nine members joining online. The meeting was opened with reports from ANOC President Robin Mitchell and ANOC Secretary-General Gunilla Lindberg on ANOC’s extensive activities since the last Executive Council meeting. The Executive Council also approved Cascais, Portugal as the host of the ANOC General Assembly in 2024.
