President of Palestine Mahmoud Abbas met on Thursday with Azerbaijan's Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov, who is visiting Palestine.
During the meeting, Abbas briefed Bayramov on the latest developments in the Palestinian territories.
Earlier, the Azerbaijani Foreign Minister announced that his country would soon open a representation office in Palestine.
In a joint press conference with his Palestinian counterpart, Riyad Al Maliki, Bayramov said that his country supports the two-state solution, which leads to the establishment of an independent Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital.
