The Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MoCI), in co-operation with Tyco Fire and Security, has announced the recall of Simplex/ Autocall Hazards Audio or Visual Warning Devices: TrueAlert ES, Xenon, LED with the following numbers: (49AV-WRF, 49AV-WRFO, 49VO-APPLWE, 49AV-APPLW, 49AV-APPLW-O, 49AV-WWF) 49AV-WWFO-BA, 59AV-WWF, 49AO-WRF, 49VO-WRF, 49VO-WRFO, 49VOH-APPLC, 49AVH-APPLC, 49VOH-APPLC-O, 49VO-WWF, 49VO-WWFO-BA), manufacturing Year: 2021, due to a possible defect that may not alert visually and/or with an alarm after a period of regular operation of 11 months or more.
The MoCI said the recall campaign comes within the framework of its ongoing efforts to protect consumers and ensure that the dealer follow up on the software update as soon as possible. The MoCI will coordinate with the dealer to follow up on the maintenance and repair works and communicate with customers to ensure that the necessary updates are carried out.
The MoCI urged all customers to report any violations to its Consumer Protection and Anti-Commercial Fraud Department, which processes complaints, inquires and suggestions through the following channels:
