Qatar National Library (QNL) is celebrating the holy month of Ramadan with a lineup of cultural activities and learning opportunities during April.
On April 1 and 8, QNL invites young adults to join in preparing and tasting healthy snacks as well as debunking some misconceptions about habits associated with Ramadan.
Throughout the holy month, QNL invites children to enjoy “Ramadan Storytime”.
Held in collaboration with Dar Ktateeb, children can listen on QNL’s Instagram account to a narration of the most beautiful stories every Monday and Wednesday.
On April 4, QNL invites visitors to a lecture held by Sheikh Dr Ahmed al-Farjabi, family and educational adviser, and Sharia expert at the Minister of Endowments and Islamic Affairs, about the importance of family values and how to live and renew them during Ramadan.
In addition, QNL invites young adults to attend sessions to learn about the earliest prophets of Allah and their amazing missions and voyages. The sessions will take place on April 4, 5, 11, 12, 18, and 19.
On April 5, QNL will host a book discussion that presents the most important themes covered in the book ‘Beautiful Names of God: Journey to the Seventh Heaven’, by Ali bin Jaber al-Fifi. Participants will reflect on the meanings of the different names of God and their relevance to our lives.
To celebrate the joy of the holy month, QNL invites families to create fun crafts that can be used at home.
The first session, on April 6, will have Ramadan-themed decorations and the second session will feature crafts for Eid.
