Qatar Olympic Committee’s Athletes Committee held its first regular General Assembly meeting for the sport term 2020-2024 at the QOC Headquarters on Sunday.
The meeting was chaired by Secretary-General of Athletes Commission Nada Mohamed Wafa and was attended by members of the General Assembly.
During the meeting, attendees approved members list, ratified meeting agenda, set up a strategic work plan to achieve the commission’s objectives and fulfil its needs in the years to come.
The committee’s official budget for 2023, its programs, activities, as well as athlete’s worships, field visits and participation in all events across the country were reviewed during the meeting.
The General Assembly unanimously approved the request of Mubaraka al-Abdallah of Qatar Winter Sports Committee to join the General Assembly of the Athletes Commission. To shed lights on the committee’s incoming activities, the Committee Chair Nada Mohamed Wafa said the committee will organise a series of workshops in future that will be in cooperation with Olympic Council of Asia and IOC’s Athletes Commission.
