The Ministry of Environment and Climate Change (MoECC)’s Winter Camping Affairs Committee has decided to extend the camping season until April 29, instead of April 1, in the northern and central regions of Qatar. The decision is based on the directives of HE the Minister of Environment and Climate Change Sheikh Dr Faleh bin Nasser al-Thani, a tweet from the MoECC said yesterday.

Lusail Boulevard pedestrian only during Ramadan evenings
Lusail Boulevard will be pedestrian only from Maghrib prayer to dawn prayer during the holy month of Ramadan, Qatari Diar has announced, according to a tweet by Lusail City yesterday. Many events are taking place at Lusail Boulevard which is hosting its first-ever Ramadan celebrations. Car parade, Iftar cannon, traditional activities and Ramadan tents are among the activities taking place daily until April 20.

Chances of rain from tomorrow
There are chances of rain from tomorrow until the middle of the week, Qatar Meteorology Department said yesterday. It is expected that cloud cover will increase with chances of rain of varying intensity and maybe thundery at places at times. The wind, mainly southeasterly-northeasterly is expected to be light to moderate, along with thundery rain. The department has appealed to everyone to be careful and follow all safety instructions during thundery rain and rely only on information from official sources.
