Georgetown University in Qatar (GU-Q), a Qatar Foundation partner, held its annual Dean’s Honors Reception on their Education City campus to recognise the outstanding academic achievements of 207 students during the previous two semesters. A total of 124 students received First Honors for earning a semester grade point average (GPA) of 3.9 or higher, while 83 students were awarded Second Honors for achieving a GPA between 3.7 and 3.89. GU-Q dean Dr Safwan Masri expressed his gratitude to the faculty and staff who provide the holistic learning environment students need to thrive, and admiration for students who made the most of the university’s resources. GU-Q offers the same renowned Bachelor of Science in Foreign Service degree as Georgetown University in Washington through four majors: International Economics, International Politics, Culture and Politics, and International History.
