The Doha Chapter of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) held its 26th DCICAI annual cricket fiesta over one and a half months recently.
In the women’s finals, between Brunel against Qatar Design Consortium, the latter won the title. Apexa was named the woman of the match. Men’s finals between Applebee’s and Quantum Global Solutions, saw the former lifting the cup. Mohit Monga was named both the man of the match and the man of the series.
The teams’ sponsors were Quantum Global Solutions, Papa Johns Pizza, Morison Qatar, Kreston SVP - Chartered Accountants, Applebee’s Qatar, MS Partner, Brunel and Qatar Design Consortium WLL.
Cricket Support Sponsors were Rayyan Water, Sports Corner, Almuftah Group, Sasco, STE - Chartered Accountants, Blue Salon, Alfardan Group, GANT, YOLO FIT, Marzooq AlShamlan, Crowne Plaza, Nando's, Intertec Group, Qbake and Dandy. The trophies were given away by the sponsors and past chairmen of the chapter.
The presentation ceremony was conducted by chapter vice chairman Kamlesh Tibrewal who thanked all involved. The Doha Chapter of ICAI, established in 1981, is the oldest among the 38 overseas chapters of the ICAI. The chapter currently has about 300 members, who hold key positions in private and public sector establishments in Qatar.
