The Ministry of Interior (MoI) has set official working hours for a number of its departments during the holy month of Ramadan.
The working hours for the General Directorate of Passports and its affiliated departments, and the Directorate of Nationality and Travel Documents, will be from 8:00 am until 1:00 pm. The General Traffic Department, the Technical Examination Departments will be operational from 6:00 am to 4:00 pm, while the Drivers' Licensing Department in driving schools will work from 5:30 am to 10:30 am.
The Car Plate Workshop Division in Ain Khaled area will work from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, while the work in the Traffic Investigation Department will be around the clock.
The Criminal Evidence and Information Department will work from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm, with the working hours in departments of security being around the clock. Trucks will be prohibited during the peak hours of Ramadan which are from 7:30 am to 10:00 am, 12:30 pm to 3:00 pm, and 5:30 pm to 12:00 am, the MoI said. (QNA)
