The 15th edition of the Schools' Robotics Championship concluded on Wednesday after inspiring the participants with innovation and creativity, a statement said.
HE the Minister of Sports and Youth Salah bin Ghanem bin Nasser al-Ali and the Ministry of Education and Higher Education's assistant undersecretary for education affairs Maha Zayed al-Ruwaili honoured the winners at the valedictory ceremony.
Qatar Scientific Club executive director and the championship's supreme organising committee head engineer Rashid al-Rahimi noted that the co-operation between the ministries of sports and youth, and education had a great impact on the success of the local tournament with international specifications and standards.
“Since its inception, the championship has contributed to building the students scientific skills through training programmes,” he said.
More than 1,600 students representing 160 government and private schools across the country took part in the three-day championship at Lusail Multipurpose Hall.
