Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) has announced changes to the operating hours of a number of services for the Holy Month of Ramadan.
All emergency and inpatient services across HMC’s network of hospitals including Paediatric Emergency Centres will continue to operate as normal, 24-hours a day, seven days a week.
The changes to operating hours affect a number of services delivered remotely via the National Healthcare Helpline number: 16000.
National Healthcare Helpline number-16000- will be operational 24 hours a day, 7 days a week during Ramadan. People can access the service by calling 16000, select language and select number according to the service required.
HMC Nesma’ak Customer Service helpline, 16060 will continue to operate 24 hours a day seven days a week.
Outpatient Department Clinics will run as usual and in conjunction with the Urgent Consultation Service between 9am and 2pm Sunday to Thursday.
HMC Urgent Consultation Service will work from 9am to 2pm (Sunday - Thursday). People can access the the service by calling 16000, select language, select three for HMC and select one for HMC Urgent Consultation.
Mental Health Helpline will continue to operate 8am to 8pm seven days a week and people can access the service by calling 16000 and select the language and select 4 for Mental Health Helpline.
HMC Pharmacy Medication Delivery works from 9am to 2pm, Sunday to Thursday
New Blood Donor Centre in the West Energy Centre works from 8am to1pm (for non-Muslim donors) and 6pm to 12 midnight from Sunday to Thursday. It remains closed on Fridays and on Saturdays it is operational from 6pm to 2am. The Satellite Blood Donor Centre next to Surgical Specialty Centre has permanently been closed.
Clinical Imaging Call Centre will operate as usual from Sunday to Thursday from 8am to 6pm, and on Saturdays from 8am to 2pm. Patients can call or WhatsApp this service on 44393377.
