Participants in the third National Defence Course, organised by the Joaan bin Jassim Academy for Defence Studies of the Qatar Armed Forces, visited the headquarters of QatarEnergy for an introduction to its pivotal role in supporting the national economy.
The 32 participants were from the armed forces, security agencies, and senior government and state institutions officials, representing a select group of civil and military leaders.
The participants listened to two briefings by Ahmed Saeed al- Amoodi, executive vice president (Surface Development & Sustainability) in the presence of Abdulaziz Mohammed al-Mannai, executive vice president (Human Capital).
The topics and points of discussion centered on the nature and diversity of QatarEnergy's business, its vision, and the role it plays in supporting and developing the national economy and in drawing up strategic policies for its sustainability.
Discussions also highlighted the unprecedented growth of Qatar’s energy sector, led by QatarEnergy, including the upstream and downstream sectors, and the various energy products that fuel growth and progress around the world.
The Joaan bin Jassim Academy for Defence Studies organises the National Defence Course to help qualify national leadership elements by studying and analysing the basic elements affecting the national security of Qatar.
