The Public Works Authority (Ashghal) has announced an eight-hour closure on Al Shamal Road to traffic heading for Doha from north between Duhail Interchange and Al Gharrafa (Passports) Interchange from 2am to 10am on Friday. The closure in co-ordination with the General Directorate of Traffic is for gantry installation.
During the closure, road users coming from the north in the direction of Doha can turn right at Duhail Interchange and use Al Gharrafa Street to reach Al Gharrafa Interchange and their destinations. Road users coming from the north in the direction of Sabah Al-Ahmad Corridor can keep driving on Al Shamal Road, then use Umm Lekhba (Landmark) Interchange to reach their destinations.
Ashghal will install road signs advising motorists of the temporary closure and requested all to follow them and abide by the speed limit to ensure safety.
