The Qatar Philharmonic will present on March 20 a high-energy 'Best of Brass' concert at the Pre-University Education Theatre in Education City.
The concert combines traditional classics with contemporary songs, to create an exciting musical experience for all attendees led by the famous conductor Bob Ross.
The Philharmonic has prepared a special programme through a group of instrumentals, such as "Angels" for Robbie Williams and the Pink Panther Theme for Henry Mancini, in addition to playing some of the traditional music such as Marching the Blues for Brass and "Skirl" for Brass.
The highlight of the concert will be a performance of Richard Strauss's "Also Sprach Zarathustra", one of the most famous and challenging pieces for brass instruments.
Tickets can be purchased from Q-Tickets, and entry will not be allowed those under six years.
It is worth noting that the Qatar Philharmonic Orchestra performs and promotes western and Arabic music to inspire the children and adults of Qatar and the Arab world to create and enjoy music. It has won international acclaim for its exceptional performance and commitment to promoting musical excellence.
The Philharmonic was established in 2007 as a centre affiliated with the Qatar Foundation through the mixing of cultures, seeks to send a message of peace to the world. (QNA)
