Great Britain’s Matthew John Coward-Holley and Turkiye’s Augustin Tuzun led the men’s trap qualification yesterday at the ISSF World Cup Shotgun Doha. The two shot perfect scores of 75 at the Lusail Shooting Range.
World No. 1 Coward-Holly and Tuzun, a two-time world champion, were among the 118 shooters who took part in the qualification yesterday, with two more rounds and final scheduled for today. Qatar’s three-time Olympian Rashid Saleh al-Athba was among the 13 shooters to finish with 74.
In the women’s, Australia’s five-time World Cup gold medallist Penny Smith led after day one as she fired 74 hits out of 75. Rachel Tozier of USA with 73 hits was second, while five shooters with 72 hits were sharing third spot.
