QNB Group took a “groundbreaking” step towards innovative technological solutions by being the first bank in the region to implement NCR ‘SelfServ 62’ ATM successfully. With the latest technologies such as palm authentication, cash recycling and deposits, this move further elevates the bank’s capabilities of its self-service machines and enhances user experience.
QNB collaborated with NCR, the global leader in transformation technologies, to be the first bank in the region to avail of NCR’s latest SelfServ 62 machines, which QNB presented during Qatar’s Smart City 2022 exhibition. The new ATM machines were designed creatively to offer a dynamic and seamless customer experience giving the users the flexibility to deposit higher amounts of notes in a single transaction.
The SelfServ 62 machines also allow a better availability of the unit due to its extended capacity without having any effect on the current footprint of the machines. NCR’s SelfServ 62 machines are developed with enhanced hardware and software security features and improvements to ensure the highest standards of protection to all customers.
With its smaller footprint, the SelfServ 62 ATM devices can avail of incremental services such as bulk cheque deposit, biometrics authentication, enhanced mobile services, contactless functionalities and a fluid interface meeting the expectations of the consumers of this age.
Adel Ali al-Malki, QNB senior executive vice-president (Group Retail Banking) said, “At QNB, we are always looking to present our customers with innovative technology solutions to further elevate their banking experience with us. “Being the first bank in the region to introduce the NCR SelfServ 62 ATM machine is a testament to QNB’s dedication towards being a frontrunner in the market, in delivering a premium user experience to our customers, and a strong demonstration to the strong partnership with NCR.”
Customers can experience the new NCR SelfServ 62 in QNB Head Office Branch on Corniche Road, starting from March 8. QNB Group is ranked as the “most valuable” bank brand in the Middle East and Africa. Through its subsidiaries and associate companies, the Group extends to some 28 countries across three continents providing a comprehensive range of advanced products and services.
