A Doha court has acquitted an expatriate man of the charges of stealing a sum of QR1,750 from a taxi driver, local Arabic daily Arrayah reported.
The taxi driver accused the man of stealing the sum from him with the aid of another of his compatriots as he was giving them a ride. When the two were eventually arrested they denied all such charges and said they did not know the reason why the driver is accusing them of theft. The lawyer of the accused told the court that all the arrest procedures were illegal and his client should be released. Further, the court was not able to establish any solid evidences against the main accused and decided to acquit him.
