The College of Education (CED) at Qatar University (QU) in collaboration with AlFaisal Without Borders Foundation (Alf), has announced the winners of the Sheikh Faisal bin Qassim Award for Educational Research.
QU president Dr Hassan al-Derham; Alf founder and chairman HE Sheikh Faisal bin Qassim al-Thani; CED dean Dr Hessa bint Hamad bin Khalifa al-Thani, Association of Arab Universities president Prof Dr Amro Izzat Salama, QU Vice President for Research and Graduate Studies Prof Mariam al-Maadeed and a number of senior officials and other dignitaries.
In his speech on the occasion, HE Sheikh Faisal expressed his pleasure as the award celebrates its seventh edition.“We at AlFaisal Without Borders Foundation believe that education should be inspiring for generations, hence the launch of the Educational Research Award and a jury was selected according to criteria that ensures the quality of advanced and winning research.”
Dr Hessa said: “As we honour the winners of the award, we affirm our support to advance the development of the educational process.” As part of the event a seminar was hosted, dedicated to teachers and led by deans of colleges in Qatar, Kuwait and Oman, who shared their experiences with participants.
