He noted the importance of the project, which would enhance Qatar's efforts at the international multilateral level and as a reliable partner of the United Nations, pointing out that the UN House includes 12 UN offices with which agreements were signed during the past years, including regional offices covering the countries of the region, such as the UN Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (Unesco) office and the UN Human Rights Training and Documentation Centre for South-West Asia and the Arab Region. He added that co-ordination is underway to sign other agreements for UN offices and join them to the UN House.
Regarding the reflection of the programs and initiatives of these offices on the region in particular and the world in general, the Director of the International Organisations Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs explained that these offices work in various fields and contribute through their projects and initiatives to empowering, developing and enhancing the capabilities of people in the region through training opportunities, projects and seminars, in addition to providing technical experiences and assistance to the countries of the region.
