Saudi Arabia's Al Hilal SFC and Japan's Urawa Red Diamonds qualified for the AFC Champions League final.

Al Hilal SFC produced a spectacular performance to advance to the AFC Champions League 2022 final on Sunday, the AFC reported.

Ramon Diaz's side defeated Qatar's Al Duhail SC 7-0 as the Saudi Arabian side advanced to their fourth final in six years.

Al Hilal are the second team in the history of the AFC Champions League to qualify for the final in two consecutive seasons, after Al Ittihad in 2004 and 2005. They have extended their record as the team to have appeared in the final the most times at five.

Al Hilal recorded the biggest win in the history of the knockout stages of the AFC Champions League in their 7-0 win against Al Duhail.

Al Hilal have won their last nine knockout matches in the AFC Champions League, which is the longest consecutive winning streak in the knockout stages in the history of the tournament.

Odion Ighalo is the third player in the history of the knockout stages of the AFC Champions League to score four goals in a match, after Lee Dong-guk for Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors against Cerezo Osaka in 2011 and Yoo Byung-soo for Al Hilal against Baniyas in 2012. However, he is the first player to score four goals in the semi-finals of the tournament.

For the second time in their history, Al Hilal scored seven goals in a knockout match in the AFC Champions League, also managing this against Baniyas in the last 16 in 2012 (7-1).

Al Hilal are the first team in the history of the AFC Champions League to score five goals in the first half of a match in the knockout rounds.

Al Hilal hit 10 shots on target in their semi-final against Al Duhail - their joint highest number of shots on target in a single AFC Champions League match (also 10 against Esteghlal in 2013, and 10 against Sharjah in 2022). However, this is the first time Al Hilal managed 10 shots on target in a single match in the knockout stages of the competition.

Al Hilal have scored 22 goals in the AFC Champions League 2022, which is their third-highest scoring tally in the competition after 2019 (26) and 2017 (24).

Al Hilal and Urawa Red Diamonds have scored goals through more different players in the AFC Champions League this season, with 12 different players scoring for each team.

And finally, Al Hilal made have scored a resounding win but goalkeeper Abdullah Al Muaiouf made seven saves against Al Duhail in the semi-final, which is the most saves in the knockout stages of the competition.

Saudi Arabia's Al Hilal SFC will take on Japan's Urawa Red Diamonds on April 29 in Riyadh and on May 6 in Japan to determine AFC Champions League winner.
