The Qatar General Electricity and Water Corporation (Kahramaa) has won the award for the best smartphone app in the Gulf region from the GCC General Secretariat in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Kahramaa participated in the regional competition and started working on developing the application from April 2022, a statement explained Monday. The evaluation was supervised by an independent committee that included experts and representatives of the GCC General Secretariat.
The award comes as a result of the great joint effort made by Kahramaa departments to lead the digital transformation process. The recognition goes hand in hand with the comprehensive transformation in the country towards digitisation and automation and the use of the latest technologies at the global level in various sectors, and their local adaptation.
In 2022, Kahramaa launched an updated version of its app with a new look while guaranteeing a smooth and practical experience for subscribers. This allows the users to request services at any time and from anywhere by following easy steps. A chatbot feature has also been added to interact with subscribers in order to improve their experience.
