Iraqi Finance Minister Taif Sami Mohammed met with the Director of the Arab Monetary Fund Abdulrahman Al Hamidi in Baghdad today.
A statement by the Iraqi Finance Ministry stated that they reviewed, during the meeting, the most important economic and financial challenges facing the countries of the region as well as the joint bilateral relations between Iraq and the Arab Monetary Fund and promoting mutual cooperation in the field of finance and economy.
The statement added that they discussed the mechanisms of joint cooperation in the field of supporting financial and banking policies, building human capacities, and Iraq's steps to engage in the financial system between the Arab countries.
The meeting took place on the sidelines of the 34th Conference of the Arab Inter-Parliamentary Union in Baghdad.
