Under the patronage of HE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defense Affairs Dr Khalid bin Mohamed Al Attiyah, and in the presence of HE Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces Staff Lieutenant General (Pilot) Salem bin Hamad bin Mohammed bin Aqeel Al Nabit, a briefing of the joint Qatari-French naval drill (Al Obour) was presented onboard Al Zubarah-class corvette, 'Damsah'.
HE the Chief of Staff was briefed on the course of the exercise, which is being carried out by the Amiri Naval Forces and the French Navy under the security cooperation agreements signed between the two sides.
The briefing was attended by Ambassador of the French Republic Jean-Baptiste Faivre, and a number of senior officers in the Qatari and French armed forces.
