The International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) - Qatar, in partnership with the Paris-based International Chamber of Commerce, will organise, Tuesday, an introductory symposium on the global committee for trade and customs facilitation of the International Chamber of Commerce, via video conference technology.
During the symposium, Global Policy Manager, Trade & Customs at the International Chamber of Commerce, Florence Binta Diao Gueye, will review the work and priorities of the World Customs and Trade Facilitation Committee of the International Chamber of Commerce for the year 2023.
Several topics will be discussed, including the current regulations, and the importance of providing a platform for exchanging areas of interest, before the local launch of the Customs and Trade Facilitation Committee, at the International Chamber of Commerce - Qatar, during the coming period.
During the seminar, vacant leadership positions within the committee will be announced, and nominations for them will be open to members of the International Chamber of Commerce - Qatar.
The symposium welcomes the participants, whether members of the International Chamber of Commerce - Qatar, other representatives of the private sector, legal advisors, customs brokers, representatives of chambers of commerce, logistics service providers, suppliers of transportation services, insurance service providers, banks and freight forwarders.
After its launch, the Customs and Trade Facilitation Committee of the International Chamber of Commerce - Qatar will focus on local challenges and trends to enhance trade perspectives to improve customs operations and facilitate trade in Qatar, while contributing to international policy-making on topics of interest, such as those related to the World Customs Organisation.
