Official data from the Chinese Ministry of Industry and Information Technology shows China's non-ferrous metal industry logged steady expansion in production and foreign trade in 2022.
According to the Chinese News Agency (Xinhua), the industrial added value of the sector rose 5.2 percent on a year-by-year basis, which is 1.6 percentage points higher than the average level of all industries.
Data from last year shows the output of 10 types of non-ferrous metals reached 67.74 million tons, which is up 4.3 percent from 2021.
Additionally, the ten non-ferrous metals are copper, aluminum, lead, zinc, nickel, tin, antimony, mercury, magnesium and titanium.
In 2022, the total import and export volume of the sector was at 327.3 billion US dollars, and growing 20.2 percent year by year basis.
