After three years in the making, the much-awaited Overseas Filipino Workers (OFW) themed movie 'The Eventologist' will finally be launched with its Global Premiere at City Center Doha cinema on March 3.
Starring renowned actor J C Santos, who is a former OFW, the said motion picture was entirely filmed in Qatar and deals with Filipino entrepreneurs abroad, particularly in the entertainment industry.
The movie release was announced during the film's special media screening held at Lemon Cafe, Tawar Mall. The movie's writer and director, Oscar Yema, was emotional in describing his sentiments on how the motion picture took shape. He also shared his gratitude to the sponsors, investors and the 100% OFW cast and crew.
Inspired by real events in Qatar with most actors acting as themselves from real-life accounts, 'The Eventologist' promises a new genre of combined artistic drama and real documentary.
The film's GCC publicist & line producer Joseph Timothy Rivera has no doubt about the motion picture's success and underscored the unique relevance of the project. "I'm confident that this milestone movie will be a big hit as it embodies the diverse values of the Pinoy fighting spirit and will surely touch the lives of every Filipino, both in the Philippines and abroad," he said.
