The Department of Air Cargo and Private Airports has foiled an attempt to smuggle 7,000 lyrica pills through Hamad International Airport (HIA).
According to a tweet by the General Authority of Customs (GAC), the narcotic pills were found inside a traveller's bag upon inspection by an official.
Upon completion of the seizure process, legal measures were immediately taken, a report prepared and the narcotic pills handed over to the security authorities concerned.
