Sportive - '23, a sports event for youth, organised by Risala Study Circle (RSC) on the occasion of Qatar National Sport Day concluded.
Qatar Indian Association president and Care & Cure Group chairman Mohammad Abdul Rahman inaugurated the event.
Kerala Business Forum president Shanavas Bawa was the chief guest. Trainer and physiotherapist Anas T K led a fitness awareness class which was followed by football, basketball throw, shuttle run, relay running, and other athletic events.
Athletes from Aziziyah, Airport, Doha, and North zones competed across two age categories.
Doha bagged the championship, while Airport and Aziziya zones came second and third, respectively.
RSC global executive secretary Moideen Iringallur, Shamsuddin Sakhafi Teyala, Shafeeq Kannapuram, Suhail Umar, Hasan Sakhafi Athavanad, Basheer Nizami, Afzal Illath, Feroz Chembilode, national chairman Shakir Bukhari, general secretary Ubaid Wayanad and executive secretary Namshad Panambat were present. Haris Pulasseri presented the keynote address and Safeer Podiyadi brought the event to a close.
