Iraqi Ministry of Transport announced Wednesday that an earthquake measuring 4.5 on the Richter scale hit the Hatra district in Nineveh Governorate, north of Iraq.
A statement issued by the ministry's General Authority for Meteorology and Seismic Monitoring explained that the quake was recorded on Wednesday morning, 39 kilometers southwest of Hatra district in Nineveh Governorate, north of Iraq.
According to the statement, the quake was felt by the citizen population in that area in varying degrees.
