A number of students visited the ongoing 11th edition of the Halal Qatar Festival Sunday, at the southern area of the Katara – the Cultural Village.
The children participated in some of the workshops, experienced horse and camel riding, and observed the herds of goat and sheep in close proximity, to familiarise themselves with livestock and to foster their love for nature and the environment.
The students also toured various areas of the festival and the traditional souq in particular. Meanwhile, the regular activities of the festival continued, including the daily auction of quality breeds of goat and sheep, as well as a beauty contest for the animals, in various categories.
