The Qatar Meteorology Department has forecast a noticeable drop in temperatures due to the continuation of the northwest winds over the country.
"The cold weather will continue until the middle of next week," an official tweet said Friday. The minimum temperature is expected to range Saturday between 14C (Abu Samra) and 16C (Al Wakra) whereas the maximum will be in the 17C (Abu Samra) - 22C (Al Wakra) range.
While the inshore warning for Saturday is strong winds (northwesterly 15 - 22kt, gusting to 32kt at places) and expected poor horizontal visibility at places during the day, the offshore warning is for strong winds (northwesterly 20 - 30kt, gusting to 35kt at places at times) and high seas.
Friday, the minimum temperature was in the 15C (Abu Samra) - 18C (Umm Bab) range and the maximum in the 18C (Dukhan) - 23C (Mesaieed) range. It was windy with dust blowing at times. However, it was not as dusty as Thursday in many places.
