Dr Majed Mohamed al-Ansari, Adviser to HE the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, said during a weekly media briefing that Qatar will participate in the 59th Munich Security Conference (MSC), which will be held from Friday until February 19. He stressed Qatar's keenness to participate in MSC as it is one of the most important conferences concerned with global security in general.
Dr al-Ansari said HE the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohamed bin Abdulrahman al-Thani will represent Qatar at the conference, which is being held this year under exceptional circumstances at the humanitarian and political levels. HE Sheikh Mohamed will meet a number of his counterparts and also participate in side meetings.
