The Ministry of Municipality and Earthna Center, a member of Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development, have agreed to launch initiatives aimed at achieving sustainability in the State of Qatar, and participating with the Food Security Department in the Sustainability Summit organized by Qatar Foundation, in addition to holding meetings with specialists from both sides to discuss the joint cooperation mechanisms.
This came during a meeting held between the Ministry of Municipality, represented by the Food Security Department, and Earthna Center at the headquarters of the Food Security Department to discuss means of enhancing joint cooperation in the field of food security and sustainability projects.
The meeting discussed ideas for developing the food security system in line with the goals of sustainable development, and the use of modern technologies to save water and energy.
The meeting was attended by Director of the Food Security Department at the Ministry of Municipality Dr. Masoud Jarallah Al Marri, Assistant Director of the Food Security Department Hamad Al Hajri, Executive Director of Earthna Center Dr. Gonzalo Castro de la Mata and Senior Director, Strategic Initiatives and Stakeholder Engagement Meshal Al Shamari.
