Ethiopian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Demeke Mekonnen and Somali Minister of Foreign Affairs Absher Omar Jama discussed enhancing bilateral relations on the sidelines of the 42nd session of the Executive Council of the African Union.
Somali National News Agency said that the two sides discussed strengthening and deepening bilateral relations between the two countries and joint cooperation in the areas of security, development and economy.
Somali Foreign Minister praised the Ethiopian role in the recent summit of neighboring countries and Somalia held in Mogadishu, pointing to the need for the two countries to cooperate in combating terrorism.
