HE Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz Al-Thani chaired the Cabinet's regular meeting held on Wednesday at its seat at the Amiri Diwan.
Following the meeting, HE Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs issued the following statement:
The Cabinet considered the topics on its agenda as follows:
First - The Cabinet reviewed the proposals concerning Qatar's strategy for research, development, and innovation 2030 and took the appropriate decision in this regard.
Second - The Cabinet approved a draft cabinet decision to amend some provisions of decision No. 8 of 2010 establishing the Qatari Committee for the Alliance of Civilizations.
Third - The Cabinet approved a draft memorandum of understanding between the government of the State of Qatar and the government of the Republic of Indonesia for cooperation in the field of culture.
Fourth - The Cabinet reviewed the annual report of the work of the National Traffic Safety Committee and took the appropriate decision regarding it.
This committee, established at the Ministry of Interior, has a number of specialisations, including the following:
1- Developing policies and plans in the field of traffic and work on developing it.
2- Studying traffic problems and proposing solutions.
3- Coordination and cooperation between the various agencies concerned with the regularity and flow of traffic.
4- Proposing the development of legislation on traffic, road engineering, and transportation in accordance with international standards and the requirements of the continuous development of roads and transportation.
