The General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers participated in the National Sports Day, in the presence of HE Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Sulaiti.
This year's Sports Day acquired a special character, as it comes after the global and historic sporting event of Qatar's hosting FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 and its exceptional success that impressed the world.
The event embodied the sports, health and social goals of the Amiri decision No. 80 of 2011 that highlights need to raise awareness of the importance of sport and its role in the lives of individuals and societies. It began with the gathering of employees of the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers this morning in the old port of Doha, and then embarking on a march on the port corniche, which was followed by various sports activities.
