A magnitude 5.6 earthquake struck today off the coast of the Pacific state of Vanuatu.
The epicenter was about 36 km east-northeast of Luganville. The tremor occurred at a depth of about 117.8 km, according to the US Geological Survey.
There have been no initial reports of damage or casualties as a result of the earthquake.
