Qatar and the US held Monday in Doha a session on law enforcement and counter-terrorism co-operation, on the sidelines of the Fifth Qatar-US Strategic Dialogue.
HE Vice-Chairman of the National Counter-Terrorism Committee Major General Nasser Saeed al-Hajri chaired the Qatari side in the session, while the US side was led by US Acting Co-ordinator for Counter-terrorism Christopher Landberg.
Both sides discussed the progress achieved in joint efforts on matters related to combating terrorism and its financing, money laundering and combating violent extremism at the international level, in addition to ways to develop bilateral co-operation on a number of issues of mutual interest.
The bilateral and strong security partnership in law enforcement, aviation and border security, information exchange and capacity building was also discussed.
