Qatar Islamic Bank (QIB) has announced the new millionaire winner of its Misk Account draw.
Ahmed Mohamed Abunahia received QR1mn at the sixth edition of QIB’s Misk Account draw, becoming the first millionaire of the year, with three more millionaires to follow until November.
The lucky winner was selected randomly in a draw that took place in the presence of official representatives from the Ministry of Commerce and Industry as well as QIB officials.
QIB’s Misk Account is a unique savings account that offers customers exceptional features and benefits and gives them the opportunity to win weekly and monthly prizes, as well as grand prizes quarterly. Like the regular savings account, customers have the freedom to deposit and withdraw money from the account at their convenience.
In this Misk edition, QIB is awarding four millionaires throughout the year, and offering QR10,000 to 15 winners every week. Running from November 17, 2022, until November 16 this year, the number of monthly prizes of the new edition has doubled this year from two to four, each winning QR50,000 for a total of 48 monthly winners.
This brings the total number of winners to 832, receiving QR14.2 million dedicated for this edition compared to last year’s QR13mn.

Existing and new QIB customers can open a Misk Account easily through the QIB Mobile App. Customers will receive a debit card, become eligible to request a credit card for the first-year against their Misk Account balance, receive profits on their savings and have the chance to frequently win cash prizes.
To be eligible for the weekly draws, customers must maintain a minimum monthly balance of QR10,000. To qualify for the grand prize draws, the customer must open the account three months prior to the draw and maintain a minimum of QR10,000 for each of those months. For every additional QR10,000 saved, the customer has one additional chance in the draws.
