KIAHF closing ceremony cancelled, Katara restaurants' proceeds allocated for earthquake-hit

HE Prof Dr Khalid bin Ibrahim al-Sulaiti, chairman of the Katara International Arabian Horse Festival (KIAHF)'s Organising Committee and general manager of the Cultural Village Foundation - Katara, said the proceeds from sales at restaurants in Katara for Saturday would be allocated for those affected by the devastating earthquakes in Turkiye and Syria.
The closing ceremony of KIAHF, which concluded Saturday, was also cancelled to express solidarity with the victims of the earthquakes.
Donation boxes had been placed at the festival site while a bank card service was also available for those wanting to making contributions in this regard, he said.
