The Ministry of Social Development and Family signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Doha Institute for Graduate Studies to activate co-operation in areas of common interest at the level of training, studies and social research. The MoU was signed by Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry of Social Development and Family Ghanim Mubarak al-Kuwari, and Executive Director of the Administrative and Financial Division at Doha Institute Eman al-Sulaiti.
The MoU covers co-operation in the field of social research and studies, as well as areas of training and raising the efficiency of employees of the Ministry of Social Development and the Family, with regard to proposing and implementing national strategies and plans related to family care, in line with national development plans and Qatar Vision 2030.
Al-Kuwari stressed the importance of this co-operation and considered it one of the main aspects pursued by the ministry to consolidate constructive co-operation with institutions concerned with social affairs, noting that Doha Institute for Graduate Studies has experience in field social research and social and family studies. Al-Kuwari explained that the MoU aims to spread awareness and social culture among all segments of society by all available means, in order to achieve family cohesion and stability.
Eman al-Sulaiti expressed the hope that the MoU with the Ministry of Social Development and the Family would constitute a qualitative addition to both sides and open new horizons of fruitful cooperation. She noted that the co-operation falls within the framework of the Doha Institute's role in communicating with various state institutions with the aim of strengthening strategic partnerships and opportunities available in specialised educational, training and advisory fields of common interest, in addition to strengthening partnership in the fields of research and studies.
