The nation was ranked first globally for the fastest mobile internet speeds in the world, with a median download speed of 176.18Mpbs and median upload speed of 25.13Mbps, according to Ookla’s November 2022 Speedtest Global Index Rankings report.
Two of Qatar’s cities – Doha and Al Rayyan – were ranked as the top cities with the fastest mobile internet speeds worldwide, further cementing the nation’s position as a leader in network advancements.
The country’s Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) also established the Tasmu Digital Valley, which connects entrepreneurs, startups, investors, academics, researchers, students, multinational corporations, and institutions to innovate new digital solutions.
