The Qatari international search and rescue group of the Internal Security Force (Lekhwiya) started search and rescue operations, in coordination with the Turkish local authorities, in the earthquake-affected areas in southern Turkiye.
The Qatari rescue group is supported by specialised mechanisms and equipment, in addition to a field hospital, relief aid, tents and winter supplies. The team arrived at Adana airport in Turkey, on Tuesday, coinciding with the arrival of the first flights of the air bridge allocated by Qatar to support the sisterly Republic of Turkiye to confront the earthquake disaster.
