His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani patronised the graduation ceremony of the 10th batch of cadets of Al Zaeem Mohammed Bin Abdullah Al Attiyah Air Academy at Al Udeid Air Base Wednesday.
The ceremony was attended by HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz al-Thani, a number of sheikhs and ministers and a number of leaders of security, military and university colleges, institutes and academies from a number of brotherly and friendly countries.
Senior officers of the Ministry of Defence, the Ministry of Interior, the Amiri Guard and the State Security, in addition to heads of diplomatic missions in the country and the guardians of the graduates were also present.
The national anthem was played at the beginning of the ceremony. Then the commander of the graduates' queue came forward requesting the Amir to inspect the queue of the 124 graduates from Qatar and a number of brotherly and friendly countries.
After reciting verses from the Holy Qur'an and the march of the graduates' queue and the military parade, the Amir honoured the 13 outstanding graduates. After that, the flag was handed over from the 10th batch to the 11th batch, the appointment order was read out and the parade queue left.
The air show began with a number of aircraft of the Qatari Amiri Air Force, including Rafale, Typhoon and F-15 , C-130 and C-17 transport aircraft, and Agusta 139 helicopters. A group of PC-21 and Super Mushshak training aircraft and NH90 helicopters belonging to Al Zaeem Mohammed Bin Abdullah Al Attiyah Air Academy also took part in the show.
At the end of the ceremony, officers of the 10th batch took the oath and recited the national anthem.
